Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops have become more capable, acing our cleaning tests and tackling a variety of floor types. Look for models that allow you to choose between several modes, utilize their charging dock to self-empty, and clean up stairs.
Many of the best models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was capable of driving close to walls and even over thresholds that are raised without issue. However it was a bit difficult getting down the stairs in one go. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it came to carpets or rug.
The docking station on the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before needing to be emptied, though this will vary depending the amount you use the mop.
vacuum bot requires regular maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to prevent it from becoming blocked. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other models which require more effort to maintain.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a reliable option to meet your cleaning needs. Its robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with many advanced features like voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as required.
This robot combo is easy to setup and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the process. It includes an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged to reach those areas the robot can't reach and two water tanks that are automatically empty and filled when needed. It also has a range of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily removes most of the debris, and even tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it can be stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can alleviate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping capabilities are also very good with a pair of spinning mop pads that lift and scrub the floor instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation as needed. The mops are also refilled at the top of the station as they are required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It is a great cleaner, and it is easy to maintain. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush guarantee a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It works equally well on carpets and hard floors. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests well, avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically moves out to reach hard-to-reach areas, and mop pads that extend across baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble that can navigate tight spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one room to another without having to reverse direction it is a useful feature for larger homes with several rooms. 4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt and debris however, it's not able to reach every last particle of dust. This is why it's crucial to make use of your regular vacuum once a week, especially to remove dust from corners and on shelves and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed to accomplish exactly that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network, and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your routine of cleaning.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, which includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on cost by eliminating mopping functions and using a lower-cost plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've ever seen at this price even though it's not able to wipe your floor. It has a suction power of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin by hand each time. It comes with a smart app that lets you schedule cleaning and choose the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling and washing system for hands-free operation.
Its mops also impress with their 2700Pa power to take on pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't have any problems with carpets with high piles or area carpets, but it didn't remove cables or kitty litter that's not a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

The robot can also recognize carpets and boost the suction if needed. You can also mark areas you want to be able to keep from using the app.
